Description
The Gordon Falls Reserve project involved the construction of essential infrastructure improvements, including a new carpark, walking tracks, and a lookout, aimed at enhancing the visitor experience and ensuring environmental sustainability. Situated in the heart of the Blue Mountains National Park, aUNESCO World Heritage-listed site, this project reflected the Blue Mountains City Council’s commitment to preserving the natural beauty of the region while improving public access and facilities.
Given the sensitivity of the project’s location within a national park, all construction activities prioritised environmental preservation. MAK implemented stringent environmental management plans, including erosion and sediment control, waste minimisation, and the use of low-impact construction techniques.
