Description

This project involved the construction of a durable and aesthetically integrated sandstone block retaining headwall in Wentworth Falls for Blue Mountains City Council. The retaining wall was constructed around an existing culvert and along the creek and road intersection, aimed at stabilising the surrounding terrain, mitigating erosion, and preserving the natural landscape.

Given the environmental sensitivity of the site, strict protocols were followed to protect the creek and its ecosystem. MAK also. managed the logistical challenges posed by the terrain, ensuring safe and efficient construction with minimal impact on the surrounding landscape.

Upon completion, this headwall enhanced the stability of the area, protected the creek from erosion, and blended harmoniously with the natural surroundings. This project supported Blue Mountains City Council’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure development while preserving the region’s unique natural beauty.
